The Princess Margarita of Romania Foundation and KPMG are organizing a conference on May 26th dedicated to Romanian business people interested in responsible business practice.
“Business Leaders for Corporate Responsibility” will focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the role of business in helping find sustainable solutions for the local community’s problems while improving business performance. The conference will explore ways in which companies, NGOs, Government and individuals can work together in order to tackle pressing social problems.
Our goal is to form the core of a support group to take forward projects in partnership with Business in the Community – part of the Prince’s Charities - and its wider CSR360 network.
We are delighted to invite you to attend the conference and to be part of this dynamic and forward thinking initiative.
Hosted and co-ordinated by KPMG, and organized with the support of Business in the Community and the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce, the conference is the second part of a project initiated last year by the Princess Margarita of Romania Foundation together with The Prince’s Charities and with the support of the Romanian Embassy in London.
The first part of the project took place in London from 5 to 8 May. A group of successful senior members of the Romanian business community gained the opportunity to experience first hand the work of The Prince’s Charities, a group of not-for-profit organizations of which The Prince of Wales is Patron or President.
Conference
The conference “Business Leaders for Corporate Responsibility” will involve business leaders as well as representatives of the not-for-profit sector, who will come together to discuss current developments in CSR in Romania.

The “Generations” Center in Bucharest, established by the Princess Margarita of Romania Foundation helps elderly people, young people and children in an inter-generational approach, new and unique in Romania. The Center brings together people from many generations and creates the space were elder people, youngsters and children socialize, learn new things, help each other and receive support from the Princess Margarita of Romania Foundation.
