Brian Moore is a former England International rugby union player, winning a total of 64 England caps between 1987 and 1995. He has played club rugby for Nottingham, Harlequins and Richmond and was part of the famous England front row with Jeff Probyn and Jason Leonard who came so close to winning the World Cup in 1991. He went on two British and Irish Lions tours, winning five test caps. He is a qualified solicitor, writes a regular column for the Telegraph and is a popular commentator with the BBC. His autobiography, Beware of the Dog, reached number one in Amazon's Sporting autobiographies and went on to win the 2010 William Hill Sports Book of the Year award, among what was described as one of the strongest shortlists ever assembled.

Brian is working for Talksport to cover the current Rugby World Cup. The City Dinner will be one of the first speaking engagements at which Brian Moore will reflect on the World Cup in New Zealand, and indeed England’s performance. He will also describe the importance of the care which Hospices of Hope provide for children and adults in Romania, Moldova and Serbia.
