The Sheffield EMBA is delivered successfully in Great Britain for more then 50 years. Sheffield University has founded an International Faculty in Greece - City College - thus it offers the EMBA programme in Greece, Serbia and Romania, and next year it will extend to other two new countries: Ukraine and Turkye.
The Sheffield EMBA is delivered in Bucharest since 2006 and has had a great success with two groups of 30 students: middle and top management.
The students were attracted by the prestige and the academic tradition of the Sheffield University (ranked among the 10 best universities in Great Britain), by the international teaching staff (UK, USA, Greece, Canada), the mode of delivery (one weekend per month), the networking (2 residential weeks along with colleagues from other 15 countries that are present in the programme), the 4 tracks (marketing, management, logistics, finance), the international accreditations (AMBA, BAC, etc), the receipt of two degrees at the end of the programme (the graduates receive the Sheffield EMBA Degree and the CMI degree - Chartered Management Institute being one of the most important UK management organizations), etc.
Besides these aspects I would like to mention the fact that it is the only top university direct present in Romania (without any local partner, without any association with a state or private Romanian university), with most of the lecturers coming from the UK, Canada, USA and Greece, all of the lecturers having studied in England and practiced in different areas, including the South Eastern Europe area.
The same team of lecturers that teaches in Greece and Serbia teaches also in Bucharest one weekend per month thus the programme can maintain the same academic standard offered by the Sheffield University - UK.
