Since December 2007, when the company was acquired by Royalton Capital Investors II, a European private equity fund focused on developing services sector companies throughout the new European countries of Central and Eastern Europe, CertAsig evolved passing through different stages in order to achieve the current balanced structure. The Royalton Capital Investors II L.P.’s limited liability partners include Alpha Associates, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and European Investment Fund (EIF).

CertAsig is a niche, non-life insurance company, primarily selling to corporate and SME customers through brokers. Under the leadership of James Grindley, CEO and President of the Board, the company aims to become a productive, strong and reliable player in the Romanian insurance market. With a 16 years experience in insurance market and a title of Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, he began his career in the London market as a Lloyd’s Broker and continued as founding partner of International Risk Solutions Limited.

CertAsig operates in the non-life insurance sector and offers specialist products, such as: Commercial Property Insurance, General Third party Liability, Professional Indemnity, Contractors’ All Risks (CAR), Bond insurance, Motor CASCO, General Aviation, Cargo & Goods in transit, Personal accident insurance, Valuable goods insurance (cash in transit and in safe), Electronic Equipment insurance, Travel assistance, travel health and medical assistance, Home insurance (including compulsory catastrophe insurance) and Health insurance.
