TAROM – Romanian Air Transport was founded in 1954 and has grown along with the Romanian aviation itself. TAROM operates today over 358 weekly flights to 45 destinations in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
The Romanian carrier currently owns one of the youngest fleet in Europe consisting of 26 aircraft: 3 BOEING B737-800, 4 BOEING 737-700, 4 BOEING 737-300, 4 AIRBUS A318-111, 2 AIRBUS A310-325, 7 ATR 42-500 and 2 ATR 72-500.
June 25, 2010 - TAROM Romanian Air Transport has become a member of the SkyTeam Alliance; it is a milestone marking the entry of the company into a whole new age of its existence.

SkyTeam is the world's second international alliance that provides its customers access to an extensive network of destinations, more frequencies and connections. Once joined the SkyTeam Alliance, TAROM also adopted the Flying Blue frequent flyer programme - created and operated by Air France and KLM. This programme currently includes over 15 million members worldwide.
TAROM is a modern and future-oriented airline, respecting the environment by implementing innovative procedures, in order to reduce CO2 emissions.
