Business Analytics and management consultancy
Stillae is a London-based business analytics and management consultancy set up in response to companies’ need to make everyday decisions using available data.
Our analytics leads to increased profitability and knowledge in organisations.
Whether it is a an intuition needing to be checked against concrete data or various business KPIs, we have most probaby done it for our clients. To put it simply, we manage to quantify the essence of your business.
We focus on three areas:
1. Specialist Consultancy for Decision Support
2. Business Analytics for Quantifications
• Data Mining and Modelling
• Metrics for KPIs and Balanced Scorecard
• Quantifications for Estimates, Actuals and Return on Investment
• Targets
3. HR Metrics
• Demonstrating the Value of HR Interventions & Processes
The founders of the business have 20 years experience in unlocking the power of data in real and complex business situations, helping companies make sense of the data they collect, and put it to profitable use in Europe over the last decade.
James Court-Smith, Stillae Director, contributed to the original MacLeod Review of Employee Engagement in 2009 as a member of the expert panel. He continues to support the movement this year as a member of the ‘guru group’ within the government-sponsored Engagement Taskforce, and has recently taken on the role of Senior Advisor to the Task Force.
Among our successes there are: Using Existing Customer Data to save money through a 17% increase in client retention; fraud limitation and better partnership contracts; factual and numeric anchors for a new pricing strategy, benchmarks and ranges for KPIs.
• We often begin by addressing one small area of your business where the issue or opportunity is clearest. Work starts from a deep understanding of data within a clients’ specific context and solutions derived are different each time. Where data is imperfect, we can help plan and prioritise data collection improvements for the future.
• Amongst our mantras are: stay with the facts, be pragmatic, the business context and stakeholder perspectives are all-important … and ultimately we believe that being good counsel depends on building trust.
Describe us as nerds or geeks, and most of us are pretty comfortable with the label …but it’s not perfect: we know the importance of communication and engagement. We learnt a long time ago that the best analytical work can count for nothing, if you can’t make it speak to the client (or get them to act).
