Profile:
Representation of Investors in People in Romania, Institutul Economic Roman is a not-for-profit organisation
Institutul Economic Român is an association of professionals in different fields connected with Economic and Social Cohesion policies, mainly Romanian consultants and civil servants with experience in public policies, programmes and projects. Their areas of specialisation range from European Integration, Competitiveness and Innovation, to Infrastructure, Regional Development, Social Policies, and Public Administration. The link between all its members is their genuine desire to contribute to providing the environment for businesses and communities to maximise their potential.
Institutul Economic Român was started in 2010 as an initiative to foster integration, and to reduce disparities between Romania and other European Union Countries. It quicky grew into a think-tank for public policies, and for projects aimed at supporting best practices and know-how transfer from more developed Member States, with a special link to the United Kingdom.
In 2011 Institutul Economic Român became the Romanian representative for Investors in People, the British business improvement tool administered by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) and supported by the UK Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS). The current agreement with Investors in People International is supporting the development of certified Romanian Specialist Advisors, and the provision of qualified services to any organisation from Romania seeking Investors in People advice and recognition. Certification as an Investor in People in Romania is the result of an assessment process carried out by International Specialist Assessors.
An official launch event of Investors in People Romania is foreseen for May 2012.
